GEAR: The Great Poker Chip Adventure
The Great Poker Chip Adventure is a guide to the selection of stock poker chips available today in the USA(2015-2017). If you are an expert you don't need a guide but please feel free to leave a comment on any of the videos on YouTube.
Moneycards - facecard reviews will be the next series of videos. This again is geared toward the novice. Most tried and true players have their favorite cards and have no intention of switching.
FOOD: Todd English's Olives - Las Vegas
You don't need to eat at a buffet to have a very Vegas culinary experience. Sitting right on Lake Bellagio you will find a nice contemporary restaurant called Todd English's Olives. Yes, there is patio seating but you have to wait as you can not reserve these tables.
Thankfully, this restaurant is set away from the smoke filled casino of the Bellagio. The surrounding high-end shopping contributes to this quaint experience. The hostess put us on the patio table list and we had about a 40 minute wait. This makes your group selection very important. It is also pleasant to eat inside, especially if it's a billion degrees outside.
The patio seating offers very cozy views of the fountains and lake. You can see the setting seems to encourage people to jump up and watch the fountains from the rail. People that know me personally know that I am not a huge fan of the Bellagio Fountains. However, as a backdrop to a nice meal, they are perfect.
The service here is excellent. They know the dishes, our waters were brimmed constantly. This probably saved our lives at it was 98 degrees outside. The umbrellas also emitted a cooling mist.
Our party of four all loved the dishes and drinks. Here you can see a picture of the scallops. This is one of the restaurants that are so good I don't want to recommend it as I want to keep it all to myself. Unfortunately, it's world famous. Highly recommended, this place is great.
FOOD: Bacchanal Buffet
Las Vegas Buffets are one of the main attractions on the strip. Beware if you have someone in your party that will only eat at a buffet if they have one very specific item. For example, my father will only eat at a buffet if they have king crab legs. There's a great diet {sarcasm}, butter and crab legs. Luckily most of you will want a tasty variety and are looking for, oh I don't know, a BALANCED diet.
Several of my friends and I had the pleasure of eating brunch at the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace and we all loved it. We arrived at the end of breakfast, so by the end of our meal we were well into lunch. The variety and freshness were both excellent. One of them filled up on bacon, waffles and eggs. We all agreed the parfait, of all things, was really good. The fruit was very fresh and they had varieties with and without granola.
The service was slightly above standard Las Vegas buffet service, as our drinks never dried up. However, the employees at the dessert counter were very helpful and all quickly suggested their favorite dishes - we tried them all.
If you are looking for a good buffet, as of 2015, I highly recommend trying the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Las Vegas.
